Everything was easy and the journey felt safe with the driver. Only downside was the seat in front was broken and needed to be fully reclined the whole time, not great when you’re tall

Play del Carmen to Valladolid is on a shuttle bus, not the big ADO bus with restrooms. The route is Playa del Carmen to Tulim, then to vallalolid. No one at the bus terminal spoke English, so it was a bit challenging, but good price for transit.

We went to the bus station an hour before departure and checked with the attendant to see which stand the bus was leaving from. She said she didn’t know but after checking my ticket said it would be announced ten minutes before departure. We waited but there was no announcement so we checked with her again and she told us it was the Merida bus. There was still no announcement so I went to the ticket office who told me the bus went from a different bus station. We wasted three hours waiting for the next bus and it cost another 500 pesos. Not impressed at all.
Users generally appreciated the comfortable seating and helpful staff during their journeys. The buses were clean, air-conditioned, and provided a pleasant travel experience. However, some travelers noted that there was confusion about bus stops at stations and unexpected route changes without prior notice on tickets or during booking processes.
