Flota Occidental User Reviews
Flota Occidental receives praise for its comfortable buses, friendly staff, and efficient boarding process. However, several reviews mention extended journey times due to multiple stops and a lack of onboard toilets leading to unplanned breaks. Additionally, some passengers experienced issues with leaking air conditioning during their trips.
Prompt pick up. More than enough leg room for a man of 6 foot 6/205cm. I think these buses are only for the longer journeys. Arrived 30-45 minutes early, mostly due to the fact it was overnight, but I'd heard horror stories of the 6 hour bus actually taking 9+ hours. There's no tray table to put your phone on, but that's minor when the price is so low.

Comfy bus, quick boarding process, kind staff. But, the journey only takes 4.5 hours and it was extended to 7 hours due to 3-4x stops. Two were bathroom breaks (though one of those lasted 30 minutes+. people were hanging out with snacks etc at the service station), one was unexplained, and during another the driver was having a sit down meal and we were there for an hour. It was a bit frustrating that the journey was so long for seemingly no reason. Breaks are good but I thought that one break in 4.5 hours would’ve sufficed. 2.5 hours were spent at random stops.

No toilet on the bus for a +6 hour journey. We did stop 2 hours into the journey though but the toilets were filthy with no seats, paper, or hand washing facilities. No leg room and seats were uncomfortable. very loud bus not good for overnight. Unfortunately is one of, if not the only bus between Medellin and Salento.
Alex S.
it was very comfortable! The journey took exactly what it said and the driver took his time!
Tessa S.
Music was played out loud the entire overnight journey making it really difficult to sleep
Parris F.
My 6-hour turned into ~14 hours. At least the driver stopped at a restaurant after we passed whatever caused the standstill. Very frustrating.
